2/8/2010-Shares of Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (NYSE:POT) are trading 1.5% higher to $104.99 premarket Monday following an announcement on Sunday that it bought an additional 1.4% of fertilizer and specialty chemicals maker Israel Chemicals, raising its stake to 13.9% or nearly 176.1 million shares.
Potash Corp bought 18.5 million shares of Israel Chemicals at 47 shekels a share, or a total of 870 million shekels ($232 million).
