I am 51 years old and a novice investor. I have only recently (last 4-5 months) taken interest in the stock market as my 401k, like many others, was hit pretty hard. I am a working Joe making 80K a year and have little time left to "catch-up"

I thoroughly enjoy, and religiously read "Morning Call". "Morning Call" for me is a market barometer helping me to buy or sell in the market place. I have not made much money due my own stock picks, my timing is terrible, and I am learning “patience" the hard way, Buying on dips, and not chasing stocks when the market is rallying. "Patience is a virtue" I anticipate subscribing to "SmarTrend" in January hoping for a better year and letting you guys help me out!

I am a married man in my mid eighties. At my age I am looking for income as I have been retired for sixteen years from a career as a public school teacher.

I am using the SmarTrend system in helping to find good and solid income stocks. I like to buy stocks with a dividend of 6% to 10% for the most part. SmarTrend has been a total bonanza in helping me to find leads to these kinds of income stocks. I use the leads and do my own research, which has served me well over many years. I have never selected a stock that has had a 'cut' in dividend -- and that might be a bit amazing in an economy such as we have been experiencing this past year.

I have benefited from SmarTrend in that my stock portfolio has given me dividends that, alone, could support my wife and me if necessary. I do not ever invest in the market with any cash I cannot really afford to lose -- if that should happen. I also have a pension and our social security as income.

I have made a very nice profit over the years -- primarily in additional income. I have several stocks that have been high on the recommendation list of SmarTrend. In addition to the dividends my portfolio has also provided a substantial profit regarding the increased price value of the stock. I have fifteen separate stocks and twelve are worth more than I paid for them. Along with an income of over $23,000 per year from my portfolio the increase in stock price is in the $60,000 range. Very nice indeed.

I feel very secure with SmarTrend and have NO problem sleeping at night. This is very important when dealing with the stock market. I have a college degree in Economics and Finance and spend a good deal of my time with the market. I would NOT ever consider being without SmarTrend. Thank you dearly.

I am a retired CPA. I am an active trader in stocks, and just starting options as a hedge against my long positions.

I have been very happy with my SmarTrend subscription. My favorite thing is the ease of use. I find "Bull Market" to have a confusing website. Yours is simple. I like to research the fundamentals myself and find the kinds of stocks I like (low debt, nice dividend, diversifies my holdings). If I like it I add it to my Watchlist. Then you send me an email when it is time to buy. I don't have to be a chart reader, you do all that for me.

Last year I lost 100K or 20% when the market fell. I don't want to be a sitting duck ever again. I want to hedge my long positions. So I have begun investing small amounts using put options for the SPY index. In the last 2 weeks I made 25 percent, and if the market is down tomorrow I expect to make another 25 percent. For these hedges I read your morning newsletter [the Morning Call]. I read it twice, carefully. This helps me hold tight with my options, or start to sell. Sometimes your timing of a rollover is a wee bit early (half a day). That's fine!!! I still know what the technicals are saying, without knowing a thing about the technicals. I can't even read all those charts on the right side of the morning newsletter.

I know you cannot be right 100 percent of the time. Still, this was just the thing I so needed to add to my toolbox. I think we will have a long, prosperous relationship!!

I begin the day with the Morning Call which gives me a sense of what to expect the markets to do. I follow that with confirming the trends of stocks I'm following. My first week I made two trades based on the SmarTrend indicators. I bought and sold FFIV for a profit of $33.00. I bought and sold SFLY for a profit of $663.48 for a total of $696.48.... That almost pays for a one-year subscription!!!

I currently own SNV based on SmarTrend's upward trend indication and fundamentals I've researched...Today SNV is beginning its ascent and as of this minute I am ahead $423.00.

I purchased SmarTrend in August 09 and use your system daily. First, I read the e-mail Morning Call. It has been very specific and accurate with regard to daily market movements and why. More importantly the letter predicts the market for the upcoming days. It [SmarTrend] benefits my trading because of its accuracy. It has recommended several stocks that I've bought which it predicted were on a new "upturn" and for the first time in my life I have someone or something that tells me to consider "selling" when my existing stocks might be on a new "downturn". I have indeed made fantastic profit this year, in part due to these predictions. I am primarily a long term investor. With the recent market correction I have paid much closer attention to the daily moves and trends in the market. Your Morning Call Newsletter and Trend Analysis have helped me manage my portfolio back to where it was last August. I also use covered calls and sell puts on stocks I am interested in buying. The Trend Analysis is very useful in when to take positions or sell specific stocks.

I read the Morning Call every day to understand why the market is reacting the way it is. First of all, I am a novice in trading and I feel very lucky I found your system since my first months in the trading environment. I have a subscription to Investors Intelligence, and I have been evaluating SmarTrend and Investors Intelligence in the past eight or nine months. I have discovered that your system is much simpler, precise and with great timing tools for intra day trading.

As far as profit goes, I have been in cash for almost a year. I was about to enter the market lasts month, to take a bear stance, when I just realized there was something "funny", and last we know it the cycle changed and we got into a choppy ugly market. While I have only been using SmarTrend for several weeks I am finding it a useful tool. The first time I purchased stocks that were recent UPTREND alerts was about 4 weeks ago. I entered 6 positions over the course of 5 days and held each anywhere from 3 to 8 days. Only one lost money and the group combined made over $6,000 in profits. I purchased $5,000 worth of each issue. I did time the entry on these with market acceleration and was long on all positions. I have recently entered 4 new positions over the past 2 days and am only profitable on 1. I have decent stops in and watch other indicators for exit timing as well. I agree with your recommendations not to hang on to the issue until you issue a DOWNTREND alert. I believe in taking profits off the table prior to the recycle.

Although I have only been using the system for 2 weeks it has removed doubt from my Trading System. I take the alerts from SmarTrend and then confirm them with the more traditional MACD, RSI and Stochastic. I then wait for moving average and trendline breaks. I stick to these rules and so far the five trades I have placed are all positive. In two weeks I have had a 5% return (I must say I am very conservative). SmarTrend has allowed me more freedom as I now don't have to sit and pour over hundreds of charts to find a good setup. You guys are doing that for me now!! I signed up for SmarTrend because I needed a system that accurately tracks and predicts market movement. The very next day, I saw that one of my stocks had been identified as "on a downtrend." I thought to myself, "I'm going to ride this one out." That was before I saw the notification. So, I pulled out immediately - by doing so, I saved myself from losing almost $500. Ironically, I entered that same stock when an "uptrend" was announced. Although, I did not gain the $500 had saved (still saved!), I did gain another $250. To me, that's a gain of $750 with this system.

I used to trades stocks, but due to a number of circumstances I suspended trading. My time and energies had to be focused on other things. I have been a member of SmarTrend since June 2009, I initially wanted to try your service and I really liked it.

How I am using your system? I am using your system to identify the best stock to invest in, either short-term or long-term. I read the Morning Call and decide whether to trade that day or not, but then follow the market trend most of the time. I use the yearly chart to make a decision to buy or sell a stock. The Uptrend and Downtrend indicators across the yearly chart help me take a risk. I bid on (a) known company's stock when it is (in) an Uptrend for the long-term and other company's stock for the short-term. My Watchlist helps a lot to invest when an Uptrend (is in) my own portfolio - especially days in trend...I (always) sort by that.

How is it benefiting my trading? I am making at least 10% profit in most of the trading.

Whether I have made any profit? Yes I have-since June for an investment of $3000, I have made realized profit of $574 and an unrealized profit of $423. If I deduct $400 for last 4 months service, I (am making) close to $540 profit. BTW my bids were AAPL, SWN, LIZ, BAA, ARIA...
